By admin On January 17, 2009 Under Job Opportunities

The Ministry of Health wants to hire 4,500 positions over the next two years and another 1,700 after that.  Full Report Here.

The Ministry of Health wants to hire 4,700 doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals like physiotherapists. This means an increase of 40%.

The balance of 1,500 to be recruited would be support staff like administrative staff.

The Ministry of Health and the Workforce Development Agency will subsidise training for 250 people who are mid-career switchers to become nurses or allied health professionals.

The question is where does Singapore turn to for the big additonal number of doctors that it needs?
